The Amy Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden in Captain Cook, Hawaii, is a 12-acre sanctuary dedicated to showcasing Hawaii’s native plants and its rich ethnobotanical heritage.

Established in her estate, the garden was created by Amy Greenwell, a botanist and archaeological researcher who performed extensive surveys of Hawaiian early habitation sites and native plants. It features over 200 species of native, endemic, and Polynesian-introduced plants that grew in the Kona region before Captain Cook's arrival in 1778.

The garden is divided into ecological zones such as coastal, dry forest, agricultural, and upland forest, and contains a significant archaeological site illustrating the historic Kona Field System, a vast network of farms that supported local populations. Managed now by a nonprofit organization, the garden offers self-guided tours and educational programs, emphasizing Hawaiian culture, traditional land use, and native conservation.
