An Cala is a privately owned house and garden complex on the Isle of Seil, located just outside the village of Ellenabeich near Oban in Argyll, western Scotland, with the name meaning “the Haven” in Scots Gaelic.

The property sits on the shore of the Firth of Lorn within nearly three acres of mature, sheltered gardens that were designed by the renowned landscape firm Thomas Mawson & Sons in the early 1930s and have since become a well‑known example of a 1930s West Coast garden, open to visitors under Scotland’s Garden Scheme.

The garden features a ravine‑like layout with streams, a small waterfall, lily ponds, a wild garden rich in azaleas and rhododendrons, Japanese cherry trees, and a variety of herbaceous plantings, all arranged around rock outcrops and lawns while offering views toward the Inner Hebrides and the surrounding sea.
