The Arizona State University Desert Arboretum Park, located on the ASU Tempe campus, was dedicated in 1990 by then ASU President Lattie Coor and faculty members of the Life Sciences Department to showcase native and drought-tolerant desert plants typical of the Sonoran, Mojave, and Chihuahua desert regions.

The 2.5-acre park includes diverse desert flora such as cacti and succulents arranged along accessible walking paths with seating areas and an amphitheater for outdoor events. The arboretum serves as both an educational facility and a relaxing green space on campus, demonstrating water-wise landscaping and the beauty of desert ecosystems.
