Arte Dakar, also known as Galerie Arte, is one of the best-known contemporary African art galleries in Dakar, Senegal.

Founded in 1996, it is regarded as the country's oldest gallery dedicated to contemporary African art and has played an important role in promoting both emerging and established African artists. Located in the Mermoz district of Dakar, the gallery offers a unique setting that feels more like a collector's home than a traditional museum. Visitors can explore a wide range of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, installations, furniture, jewelry, and handcrafted decorative objects from across Africa.

Over nearly three decades, Galerie Arte has become a significant cultural landmark in West Africa, helping showcase the diversity and creativity of contemporary African art while also celebrating traditional craftsmanship. It is a popular destination for art lovers, collectors, and travelers seeking a deeper understanding of African artistic expression.
