Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens is a historic estate near Morpeth in Northumberland, about 14 miles northwest of Newcastle upon Tyne, where a 19th‑century Greek‑revival hall, a 14th‑century stone castle, and 40 acres of landscaped gardens sit together on the same property.

The hall is considered one of the first British houses built in the Greek revival style and is a Grade I listed building, while the castle is a largely intact medieval tower that once belonged to the Middleton family and later fell into romantic ruin when the family moved into the new hall in the early 1800s.

The surrounding gardens mix formal areas such as a striking Yew Garden and Magnolia Terrace with wilder “quarry garden” sections around a former sandstone quarry, offering a rich mix of plants, textures, and seasonal colour, and the whole site is now managed by English Heritage as a popular family day‑out destination with walking routes, a tearoom, and on‑site parking.
