Bingerville is a town located about 10 kilometers east of Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, situated on the Ébrié Lagoon. It served as the capital of the French colony from 1909 to 1934 before Abidjan became the capital. Named after the French colonial governor Louis-Gustave Binger, Bingerville was originally a market town and has many colonial-era buildings still standing, including administrative structures and churches.

The town is known for its botanical gardens and has a rich cultural scene featuring festivals like the Festival of Masks, which celebrates traditional Ivorian culture. Bingerville plays an important role as a transportation and commerce hub and hosts various educational institutions, hospitals, markets, and cultural centers.
