Blackadore Caye is a narrow, 104-acre private island off Belize's coast near Ambergris Caye and the Belize Barrier Reef, originally purchased by Leonardo DiCaprio in 2005 for a planned eco-luxury resort emphasizing sustainability through renewable energy, artificial reefs, marine grass restoration, and wildlife protection for species like manatees.

The project, now under the Blackadore Development Group with partner Paul Scialla, features 48 estate homes, 40 suites, 28 hotel villas, and amenity villages designed to heal past erosion and deforestation while offering secluded beaches, infinity pools, and overwater structures—though scaled back amid conservation concerns.

It remains under development as a restorative paradise blending high-end retreats with environmental restoration in the Caribbean Sea.
