Blankensee Palace
Trebbin, Germany, Germany
Blankensee Palace (Schloss Blankensee) is a Baroque manor house in the village of Blankensee, part of Trebbin in Brandenburg, Germany.
Built between the early and mid-18th century for the von Thümen family, it is one of the region’s notable historic country estates. The palace became especially famous through the German writer Hermann Sudermann, who purchased the property in 1902 and transformed the surrounding park with Italian-inspired pavilions, sculptures, bridges, and decorative gardens.
The landscaped park, which was influenced by the renowned garden designer Peter Joseph Lenné, remains one of the estate’s greatest attractions. Today, Schloss Blankensee serves as a venue for events, conferences, weddings, and cultural activities. Surrounded by the scenic landscapes of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park, it is valued for its peaceful atmosphere, historic architecture, and beautifully preserved parkland.
