The Botanic Garden of Warsaw University, founded in 1818 by botanist Michał Szubert, is the oldest botanical garden in Poland and one of the country's smallest, located on Aleje Ujazdowskie in the heart of Warsaw near the Royal Łazienki Park.

It features about 5,000 species and varieties of plants, including over 1,000 taxa of trees and shrubs, alongside greenhouse collections of tropical and subtropical plants. The garden is known for its ancient oak and ginkgo trees, some estimated to be 200 years old, and has thematic areas dedicated to ornamental plants, plant systematics, and flora of the Polish lowlands.

It plays an active role in biodiversity conservation, botanical research on flowering plants and pollination, and public education through workshops and events that promote awareness of natural heritage and environmental protection. The garden also contains historic elements such as the foundations of a former church and a classic fountain, offering visitors a peaceful, picturesque escape integrated with cultural and scientific significance.
