Burg Hohenberg, located in Hohenberg an der Eger in Bavaria, Germany, is a medieval castle built between 1170 and 1220 to protect an important trade route near the Czech border.

It was founded by Dietrich of Hohenburg and his family, who became prominent local nobility. The castle has a hexagonal layout with a ring wall, round towers, and a gatehouse constructed mainly around 1480, with an outer bailey added by 1504. In the early 17th century, Margrave Christian fortified the castle with earthen walls and bastions, but despite these defenses, it was captured and occupied during the Thirty Years' War.

After the war, the castle lost its strategic role. The princely house, built in 1666, served as a hunting lodge. Today, the castle is well-preserved, featuring parts of its medieval structure, and since 2017 it has been renovated for use as a youth hostel and meeting place. It remains a notable historical site reflecting the region's medieval and early modern heritage.
