Burg Möckmühl, also known as the Götzenburg, is a medieval hilltop castle overlooking the town of Möckmühl in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

First recorded in 1251, it was built to guard important trade and military routes near the confluence of the Jagst and Seckach rivers and was successively owned by the Lords of Dürn, the Hohenlohe family, and later Württemberg. The castle is closely associated with the famous knight Götz von Berlichingen, who defended it in 1519 during a conflict with the Swabian League.

According to tradition, it was here that he uttered his legendary defiant remark after being asked to surrender. Today, the castle remains one of Möckmühl’s most recognizable landmarks. Its massive keep, known as the Götzenturm, and its prominent position above the town make it a striking reminder of the region’s medieval history.
