Burg Wäscherschloss, also known as Wäscherburg, is a well-preserved medieval hilltop castle in Wäschenbeuren, Baden-Württemberg.

Built between about 1220 and 1250 during the Staufer era, it is closely associated with the region’s medieval history and the network of castles surrounding the nearby Hohenstaufen mountain. The castle was first documented in 1271 and underwent several expansions and renovations over the centuries, evolving from a defensive fortress into a more castle-like residence.

Despite periods of damage and reconstruction, much of its medieval structure, including its strong walls and residential building, has survived. Today, Burg Wäscherschloss is one of the best-preserved Staufer-period castles in southern Germany. It houses a museum and offers visitors an insight into medieval life, architecture, and the history of the Staufer region, making it one of Wäschenbeuren’s most important cultural landmarks.
