Burgruine Altes Schloss is a medieval castle ruin located on the Schlossberg above the spa town of Bad Berneck in Bavaria.

Built during the first half of the 13th century, it served as an administrative and defensive castle and occupied a strategic position overlooking important travel routes through the region. Over the centuries, the castle passed through the hands of several noble families and rulers, including the Counts of Orlamünde and the Burgraves of Nuremberg.

As its administrative role declined, the castle gradually fell into disrepair and eventually became a ruin. Today, the impressive keep and remaining walls are among the most recognizable landmarks of Bad Berneck. The freely accessible ruins offer scenic views over the town and surrounding hills and provide a glimpse into the area's medieval history.
