Burgruine Graisbach is the ruin of a medieval hilltop castle located on the Schlossberg above the village of Graisbach, part of Marxheim in Bavaria, Germany. The castle was built around the 12th century and later became the seat of the Counts of Lechsgemünd-Graisbach after their original stronghold was destroyed in 1248. Over the centuries, the castle was expanded and served as an important administrative and defensive center. Parts of the complex were damaged in the 15th century, and by the 18th century the castle had been abandoned and gradually dismantled, with many of its stones reused in other construction projects. Today, substantial remains of walls, towers, and other structures can still be seen, including the well-preserved Romanesque chapel of St. Pankratius. The ruins are a notable historical landmark and offer visitors a glimpse into the medieval history of the Donau-Ries region.
