Burgruine Herrenzimmern, also known as Unterer Burg (Lower Castle), is an impressive medieval castle ruin located between the villages of Talhausen and Herrenzimmern (part of the municipality of Bösingen) in the Rottweil district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

This spur castle dates back to the 11th century and was originally the ancestral seat of the noble family of the Freiherren (Barons), later Grafen (Counts), von Zimmern. The castle's most famous resident was Froben Christoph von Zimmern (1519–1566), who wrote the renowned "Zimmerische Chronik" (Zimmerian Chronicle) there, one of the most important autobiographical works of the German Renaissance.

The castle was rebuilt by Wilhelm Werner von Zimmern after a fire in the early 16th century, giving it its current appearance, and was sold to the Imperial City of Rottweil in 1595 after the family died out in the male line before being acquired by the community of Herrenzimmern in 1810, which let it fall into ruin.
