Burgstall Alt Bartenstein
Schrozberg, Germany, Germany
Burgstall Alt-Bartenstein is the site of a former medieval spur castle near Riedbach, a district of Schrozberg in Baden-Württemberg.
Built between the 12th and 13th centuries on a hill overlooking the Eselsbach valley, it likely served as a small defensive stronghold controlling the surrounding area. The castle fell into ruin during the 14th or 15th century and eventually disappeared. Now an archaeological and historical landmark, Burgstall Alt-Bartenstein offers visitors a glimpse into the medieval history of the Hohenlohe region and the early settlement development around present-day Schrozberg.
