Burgstall Ruine Lichteneck is the site of a former medieval hill castle near the Hepsisau district of Weilheim an der Teck in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The castle was built in the 13th century by Marquard von Neidlingen and was first mentioned in historical records in 1282. Located at an elevation of about 615 meters, the castle served as the seat of local nobility from the Neidlingen family. By 1504, the fortress had fallen into ruin, and over the centuries most of the structure disappeared.
Today, only a few small remains of its stone masonry survive. Although little of the original castle can still be seen, the site is valued as part of the Swabian Alb’s rich medieval heritage. It is a point of interest for hikers and history enthusiasts exploring the scenic landscape around Weilheim an der Teck and the numerous nearby castle ruins.
