Busóudvar is a cultural center and interactive museum in the heart of Mohács dedicated to preserving and presenting the famous Busójárás festival, a centuries-old tradition of masked winter-chasing celebrations.

The Busójárás was added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009, making it one of Hungary’s most recognized folk traditions. The complex allows visitors to experience the atmosphere of the festival throughout the year. Exhibits include traditional busó masks, costumes, festival props, and a recreated Šokac house, along with sound and light effects that evoke the event’s lively celebrations. 

Busóudvar also showcases local craftsmanship through demonstration workshops where visitors can learn about the making of masks and other traditional items connected to the festival. Today, Busóudvar is one of Mohács’s most popular attractions, offering an engaging introduction to the city’s unique cultural heritage and providing a year-round gateway to the spirit of the famous Busójárás.
