Cambridge University Botanic Garden is a 40‑acre scientific and display garden on the edge of the city of Cambridge, run by the University of Cambridge since it opened in 1846.

It holds a collection of over 8,000 plant species from around the world, arranged in themed areas such as the Systematic Beds, Arboretum, rock garden, and glasshouse range, and is used for teaching and research in plant science and climate‑related challenges.

The garden also acts as a public green space with year‑round interest, offering seasonal planting displays, walking paths, a café, and events for families and local visitors, and it is open daily with admission charges except for Friends of the Garden and University of Cambridge students.
