Chandrabhaga Beach is a long, scenic shoreline on the Bay of Bengal in the Puri district of Odisha, India, located about 3 kilometers east of the famous Sun Temple in Konark and around 30 kilometers from Puri town.

It is known for its wide, sweeping sand, clean waters, and gentle waves, and is especially popular at sunrise and sunset when the sky over the sea creates dramatic, colourful views. The beach holds the distinction of being India’s first Blue Flag–certified beach, meaning it meets international standards for cleanliness, safety, and environmental management.

It also has religious significance, linked to the legend of Samba, the son of Lord Krishna, who is said to have been cured of leprosy here after praying to the Sun God, and today it remains a site for ritual bathing and spiritual reflection. Offshore lies the Chandrabhaga coral reef, one of the few living coral reefs along India’s eastern coast, enhancing the area’s marine diversity and making this beach a favourite stop for visitors touring Konark and the Odisha coast.
