Colby Woodland Garden
Wales, United Kingdom
Colby Woodland Garden is a small National Trust‑managed woodland garden tucked into a quiet valley just north of the Pembrokeshire coast, near the village of Amroth in south‑west Wales.
It covers about 8 acres of woodland, meadow, and a walled garden, with a rich mix of azaleas, rhododendrons, magnolias, camellias, hydrangeas, and seasonal wildflowers that create strong colour displays from spring through autumn.
The site lies on the grounds of a former 19th‑century Colby Lodge once linked to the local coal‑mining industry, and now features winding paths, a small watercourse, a sheltered Bothy building used as a tea‑room, and informal play areas that make it a popular family‑friendly spot for relaxed walks, wildlife watching, and seasonal flower viewing close to the Pembrokeshire coastal path.
