Compton Acres is a large, privately owned ornamental garden in the Canford Cliffs area of Poole, Dorset, on the south coast of England, occupying about ten acres of former heathland.

Created in 1920 by margarine‑manufacturing entrepreneur Thomas William Simpson, it is built around a small mansion and laid out as a series of distinct themed areas, including an Italian garden, a rock and water‑garden, a heather garden, a Japanese garden, and a woodland‑valley section.

The site has been Grade II* listed since 1986 for its historic garden design and has been extensively restored and expanded since the 2000s, with thousands of new plants, improved walkways, and features such as waterfalls, pergolas, and an Italian‑style villa.

Today Compton Acres is a major visitor attraction with a café, tearooms, gift shop, and plant centre, drawing gardening enthusiasts and casual visitors who enjoy its varied planting styles and tranquil atmosphere close to the Dorset coast.
