Ehemals Fuggersches Schloss Glött
Glött, Germany, Germany
The Ehemals Fuggersches Schloss Glött, commonly known as Schloss Glött, is a former moated castle in the village of Glött, Bavaria. It was acquired by the wealthy Fugger family in 1537, and Anton Fugger expanded the estate between 1550 and 1560 into an impressive Renaissance-style castle surrounded by a water moat. The castle later gave its name to the noble Fugger-Glött family line. In 1869, the property was sold to Johann Evangelist Wagner. The facility was operated by the Regens Wagner organization and has continued to serve social and healthcare purposes for more than a century. Today, the castle remains an important historic landmark in the Dillingen region.
