Enchanted Floral Gardens of Kula
Kula, Hawaii, United States
The Enchanted Floral Gardens of Kula in Maui, Hawaii, were established in 1968 by Warren and Helen McCord initially as a display for Warren’s landscape architecture business.
Located about 3,300 feet above sea level on the slopes of Haleakalā, the garden spans eight acres and contains over 2,000 species of tropical and semi-tropical plants from around the world, including many native Hawaiian species. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful, lush setting featuring vibrant flowers, orchids, a koi pond, waterfalls, rock formations, a covered bridge, a bird sanctuary, and even a chameleon exhibit.
The garden also offers educational tours, conservation efforts, and family-friendly activities, making it a popular destination for both nature enthusiasts and tourists seeking tranquility and botanical beauty. The McCord family still operates the garden, maintaining its legacy of blending natural beauty with education and environmental stewardship.
