The Florida Botanical Gardens in Ridgecrest, Largo, Florida, span about 182 acres and were established in the 1990s with support from Pinellas County for an outdoor learning center dedicated to Florida’s diverse flora, fauna, and natural resources.

The gardens feature 26 distinct themed areas including a cactus and succulent garden, native plant garden, palm garden with a Florida beach theme, and the Majeed Discovery Garden designed specifically for children to explore and learn about nature through interactive exhibits.

Walking trails wind through wetland areas, native forest buffers, and cultivated gardens showcasing both native and exotic plant species. The gardens serve as a recreational and educational resource offering a peaceful retreat alongside environmental programs and community events, while the attached arts center adds cultural value to the natural experience.

The site is open daily and invites visitors to engage with Florida's plant diversity in a carefully curated outdoor space.
