Freshwater Beach is a scenic, family‑friendly beach in the northern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, located in the suburb of Freshwater just north of Manly along the Northern Beaches.

It is a small, sheltered beach wedged between two headlands, known for its consistent waves that attract surfers and bodyboarders as well as safer swimming areas for families. The beach is home to the famous 50‑metre saltwater pool at its northern end, a popular spot for lap swimmers, and is part of the Manly–Freshwater World Surfing Reserve.

Recognised for its historic role in introducing modern surf lifesaving and surfboard riding to Australia after a 1915 demonstration by Hawaiian surf pioneer Duke Kahanamoku, whose statue stands on the northern headland. Freshwater Beach is patrolled by lifeguards, has a surf lifesaving club, and is lined with cafes and restaurants, making it a relaxed, well‑used day‑trip destination easily reached from the CBD.
