Galgahévíz is a village in Pest County, central Hungary, located along the Galga River northeast of Budapest.

Its name comes from historic thermal springs that once emerged in the area, although these springs have since disappeared. The settlement has a long history, with archaeological discoveries showing human activity from prehistoric times through the Roman era and the Middle Ages. Remains of a hillfort, burial mounds, and a former Benedictine monastery connected to the Ákos clan highlight the area's historical importance.

First mentioned in written records in 1214, Galgahévíz survived periods of invasion, Ottoman rule, and changing noble ownership while remaining an inhabited community.
