Verified Gerenday Közösségi Ház

Lábatlan, Hungary, Hungary

Gerenday Közösségi Ház is a community center located in the heart of Lábatlan, Hungary, at Rákóczi Ferenc út 170, along highway number 10, operated together with the Vitéz Sághy Antal City Library.

The building and its surrounding 2.02-hectare park were owned by the Budapest Gerenday family from 1847, when Gerenday Antal chose Piszké as his family's summer residence. Lábatlan municipality purchased the property and officially received the symbolic keys in May 1999 from the family heir Lukácsy András, restoring the mansion's original furnishings, furniture, and paintings which are now displayed in the converted community center.

The building was officially opened as a community center in 2003, and its garden hosts numerous summer events including Children's Day, the Lábatlan Blues Festival, open-air theater performances, Build Workers' Day, and the city days program series.

The facility is described as "tradition and innovation, the meeting point of past and present," offering events, gatherings, and cultural activities, with contact phone +36 33 789 101 and website www.gerendayhaz.hu. Notably, the adjacent Gerenday Arborétum is currently closed for renovation until approximately June 2026.
