Ghoghla Beach
Diu, India
Ghoghla Beach is the largest and most prominent beach on Diu Island in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, India, located about 12–15 kilometers west of Diu town along the Arabian Sea.
It is known for its wide stretch of golden sand, gentle waves, and a broad, flat tidal area that makes it suitable for walking and playing even as the water slowly recedes. The beach holds Blue Flag certification, which recognizes its clean, clear water, good facilities, and strong focus on safety, environment, and sustainable tourism.
Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and water sports such as water scooters and windsurfing from October to May, with trained lifeguards, well‑designed bio‑toilets, and shaded seating areas adding to the visitor experience. Unlike some of the busier spots on the island, Ghoghla remains relatively calm and uncrowded, making it a peaceful seaside getaway with a mix of natural beauty and modern amenities.
