Giv'at Aliyah
Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
Giv'at Aliyah is a residential neighborhood in the southern part of Jaffa, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel. Historically, it was first settled by fishermen from Jabalia near Gaza in the 19th century and later attracted wealthy Arab families from Jaffa and other cities who built villas there.
During the British Mandate period, British officers resided in the area. After the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, most Arab residents fled, and the neighborhood was then settled by immigrants from Europe. Giv'at Aliyah is known for its beach and nature reserve protecting natural reefs, and it has served as a local sports center in the past.
