Glacier National Park in Montana is a rugged masterpiece of nature, often called the “Crown of the Continent” for its breathtaking alpine scenery and ecological richness. Established in 1910, the park spans over 1 million acres and straddles the Continental Divide, showcasing glacier-carved peaks, turquoise lakes, and more than 700 miles of hiking trails.

One of its most iconic features is the Going-to-the-Sun Road, a 50-mile engineering marvel that winds through the heart of the park, offering jaw-dropping views of mountains, waterfalls, and wildlife. The park is home to grizzly bears, mountain goats (its official symbol), and over 1,000 species of plants.

Glacier is also part of the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that it shares with Canada’s Waterton Lakes National Park—a symbol of cross-border conservation. Visitors can explore historic lodges, paddle across glacial lakes, or simply soak in the serenity of this untouched wilderness.
