Gräfliches Schloss Wiesentheid is a magnificent Baroque palace in the town of Wiesentheid, Bavaria, and the historic residence of the Counts of Schönborn-Wiesentheid. Its origins date back to a medieval moated castle, but the complex was extensively rebuilt between 1711 and 1720 under Count Rudolf Franz Erwein von Schönborn, giving it much of its present Baroque appearance. The palace forms the centerpiece of Wiesentheid’s historic town center and is known for its elegant architecture, richly decorated interiors, and impressive castle grounds. A formal Baroque garden was later transformed into an English-style landscape park, which remains one of the area's most attractive green spaces. Today, the castle remains associated with the Schönborn family and is one of the most important aristocratic residences in Franconia. Together with the surrounding church, park, and historic buildings, it represents a remarkable example of Baroque planning and noble heritage in southern Germany.
