Gutshaus Satzkorn is a historic manor house in the Satzkorn district of Potsdam, forming the centerpiece of a former estate whose origins date back to the medieval period.

The current house was built in 1739 after King Frederick William I’s personal physician, Johann Conrad Friedrich Brandhorst, acquired the property and replaced the older manor, while preserving elements such as a vaulted cellar and a historic smoke kitchen. The building received its present appearance through a major 19th-century renovation in the Neo-Renaissance style.

After serving various functions, including as an administrative building during the East German era, it stood vacant for many years before extensive restoration work began. Today, Gutshaus Satzkorn is a protected heritage site undergoing careful restoration. Plans for its future include event spaces, accommodations, cultural exhibits, and community facilities, helping preserve an important piece of Potsdam’s rural and architectural history.
