Hever Castle and Gardens in Kent, United Kingdom, is a historic 13th-century castle best known as the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII.

The castle's origins date back to 1270, with a gatehouse and walled bailey, and it was transformed into a comfortable Tudor manor house in the 15th century by Geoffrey Boleyn. Anne Boleyn spent much of her childhood here, and it is where Henry VIII courted her. The castle later passed through several owners, including Henry VIII’s wife Anne of Cleves.

In the early 20th century, wealthy American William Waldorf Astor restored and expanded the castle, creating stunning gardens that include the Italian Garden, Tudor Garden, and a famous rose garden with over 5,000 rose bushes.
