Hotel Zamek Ryn
Ryn, Poland, Poland
Hotel Zamek Ryn is a luxurious 4-star hotel housed in a 14th-century Teutonic castle in Ryn, a town in northern Poland's Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, situated between Lake Ryn and Lake Ołów.
Originally built by the Teutonic Knights starting around 1376 as a fortress with thick 4.5-meter walls, rectangular layout, corner towers, and a moat, it later served as a commandery, hunter's residence, prison, town hall, cultural center, and library before extensive renovations transformed it into a hotel in 2006.
The property features four themed wings—Komtur, Knight, Prison, and Hunter—each with unique historic decor, modern amenities including Gothic-vaulted spa pools, restaurants serving Polish and European cuisine, a private beach, tennis courts, gym, and bowling alley, all set in atmospheric courtyards under a vast glass roof.
