Hrad Žeranovice is the site of a small medieval castle located about 1.3 kilometers southeast of the village of Žeranovice in the Zlín Region of Czechia. The castle was likely established in the late 13th century by local nobles and served as the center of a small feudal estate. Today, only earthworks remain, including a circular ditch, traces of defensive banks, and uneven ground marking the former castle core. Archaeological evidence suggests the site was occupied from the late 1200s until around the mid-15th century, and by the 16th century it was already considered abandoned. Although no substantial walls survive, the site offers a glimpse into the medieval history of the region and is freely accessible to visitors. It is mainly of interest to history enthusiasts, hikers, and those exploring lesser-known historical landmarks in Moravia.
