Ilha Comprida is a long barrier island and municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, stretching about 74 kilometers along the Atlantic coast. It is mainly covered by an environmental protection area, recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, preserving dunes, mangroves, forests, and diverse wildlife.

The island is part of the Iguape-Cananéia-Paranaguá estuary lagoon complex, one of the largest nurseries for marine species in the South Atlantic. With a small population of around 13,000 people, Ilha Comprida offers pristine and uncrowded beaches, scenic dunes up to 10 meters high, and a tranquil environment ideal for eco-tourism and nature-based activities. It is accessible by a bridge from the mainland and blends natural beauty with small fishing villages that preserve traditional lifestyles.
