Jampore Beach
India, India
Jampore Beach is a popular black‑sanded beach in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, located about 5 km south of Moti Daman on the Arabian Sea coast of western India.
It is known for its wide, clean shoreline shaded by casuarina and palm trees, its calm blackish or mud‑colored water, and a generally quiet, family‑friendly atmosphere away from the main town bustle.
The beach is safe for wading and shallow swimming in parts, and visitors can enjoy long walks on the soft wet sand at low tide, camel and horse rides along the shore, and simple water‑sports activities such as parasailing or jet‑skiing.
Basic food stalls and shacks along the promenade serve snacks and drinks, and the area has been developed with parking, walkways, and better maintenance, making it one of Daman’s main seaside recreation spots rather than a deserted, wild beach.
