The Jardin Botanique de Conakry, also called the Camayenne Botanical Garden, sits in the upscale Camayenne neighborhood of Conakry, Guinea, sandwiched between Ambroise Paré Hospital to the south and the Grande Mosquée Fayçal to the north.

Established in 1897 during French colonial rule as a test garden for tropical plants by botanist Auguste Chevalier, originally known as the Parc d'oiseaux, it now functions more like a semi-wild tropical forest oasis with towering kapok trees, diverse flora, and paths for relaxed strolls amid urban bustle. 

Though somewhat overgrown and in need of upkeep, it offers a serene escape for birdwatching, picnics, and appreciating Guinea's biodiversity, with free or nominal entry drawing locals and visitors seeking respite from the city's heat.
