Kácsi Vár is the site of a small medieval castle near the village of Kács in the Bükk region of northeastern Hungary.

Built in the late 12th century, it stood on a strategic hill overlooking an important route through the area and was associated with the Daróci branch of the Örsúr clan. Unlike larger Hungarian fortresses, Kácsi Vár was essentially a fortified stone residential tower surrounded by a defensive ditch and earthworks rather than extensive castle walls.

Archaeological excavations uncovered the foundations of the tower, along with pottery, tools, and other medieval artifacts that provide insight into life at the site. The castle was never expanded into a major stronghold, likely because its owners lacked the resources to modernize it. 

It was abandoned during the 14th century and gradually fell into ruin, although parts of the structure may have remained in use for centuries afterward. Today, only earthworks and limited remains survive, but the site is valued as an important archaeological monument that reflects the early medieval history of the Kács area and the Bükk region.
