Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Gainesville, Florida, covers 68 acres along the shores of Lake Kanapaha and was established in 1978 by the North Florida Botanical Society to create a public botanical garden.
The garden features 24 themed areas accessible by a 1.5-mile paved walkway and is home to Florida's largest public display of bamboo and the largest herb garden in the Southeast.
