Crowned by the ruins of Burg Hohenlupfen, a high medieval hill castle built by the Lords of Lupfen who ruled for 500 years, it features a historic observation tower (Lupfenturm) renovated in 1979 offering panoramic views, accessible via hiking trails from Talheim parking. Designated a 107-hectare nature reserve since February 2024, the site protects diverse habitats including rare orchids, 14 grasshopper species, quail, and goldfinches amid its southern and western slopes.
