Mdina Fortress, located in the historic city of Mdina in Malta, is one of the best-preserved fortified medieval settlements in Europe. Often called the “Silent City,” Mdina served as Malta’s capital from ancient times through the medieval era and remains enclosed by impressive defensive walls that were developed and strengthened over many centuries. The fortress stands on elevated ground, providing strategic views across much of the island.
