Mount Roraima
Pakaraima Mountains, border with Brazil & Venezuela, Guyana
Mount Roraima is a spectacular flat-topped mountain, or tepui, located in the Pakaraima Mountains at the point where Guyana, Brazil, and Venezuela meet.
Rising to about 2,810 meters (9,219 feet) above sea level, it is one of the oldest geological formations on Earth, with cliffs that tower dramatically above the surrounding rainforest and savannah. The mountain is famous for its unique landscape of rocky plateaus, unusual plant species, waterfalls, and mist-covered scenery, much of which exists nowhere else in the world.
Mount Roraima has inspired explorers, scientists, and writers for generations, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel The Lost World. Renowned for its breathtaking beauty, biodiversity, and sense of adventure, it is one of Guyana’s most iconic natural landmarks and a premier destination for trekking and eco-tourism.
