The gardens, whose name means "forever beautiful," were established by Makato Nitahara and later purchased by Helen Koo in 2012, who envisioned the space as one of peace and harmony. Covering about 20 acres, the gardens boast lush tropical plants, vibrant flowers, rare palms, and fruit orchards suited to Hilo's humid climate.
