The Courts Garden is a small but richly planted National Trust garden in the village of Holt, near Trowbridge in Wiltshire, set behind an early Georgian house that once formed part of a cloth‑manufacturing site.

It covers about seven acres and is laid out in the Arts and Crafts tradition, with a series of intimate “garden rooms,” water features, colourful herbaceous borders, imaginative topiary, and a small kitchen and orchard area. The garden was developed in the early 20th century on the grounds of a former wool‑mill settlement and later given to the National Trust in 1943 by the Goff family, becoming a Grade II listed English country garden.

Today it is open seasonally to visitors, offering a peaceful, plant‑filled retreat with lawns, ponds, an arboretum, and a small play area, and it is widely regarded as one of Wiltshire’s more quietly charming horticultural gems.
