Neideck Castle (Burgruine Neideck) is a striking medieval castle ruin located above the village of Streitberg in Wiesenttal, Bavaria.

Built around the 12th century on a rocky spur overlooking the Wiesent Valley, it became one of the largest and most important noble fortresses in Franconian Switzerland and is now considered a symbol of the region. The castle was closely associated with the noble Schlüsselberg family and later came under the control of the Bishopric of Bamberg.

It suffered damage during medieval conflicts and wars, particularly in the 14th and 16th centuries, and eventually fell into ruin. Today, the restored ruins are freely accessible and are a popular destination for hikers and history enthusiasts. The remaining tower serves as a viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the picturesque Franconian Switzerland landscape and the Wiesent Valley below.
