Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a historic and scenic extension of the University of Michigan, established in 1907 through a significant land donation by Walter and Esther Nichols.

Designed by landscape architect O. C. Simonds, the arboretum features over 400 species of trees, native and exotic, set amidst dramatic glaciated terrain with steep ravines, rolling hills, and floodplain forests along the Huron River. The site was intentionally designed to combine naturalistic beauty with educational and scientific research purposes, emphasizing native plants and landscape harmony.

Its landmarks include the Peony Garden, the Large Herb Garden, the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants, and a series of themed scenic overlooks.
