The Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas, spans 300 acres and serves as a vibrant educational, recreational, and cultural space for the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Opened in 1990 with the first garden dedicated six years later, it combines nearly six miles of hiking trails, mature trees, limestone bluffs, and natural ecosystems including Dry-Mesic Prairie, Dry Oak-Savanna, and riparian woodland. The arboretum has multiple themed gardens such as an herb garden, water garden, woodland garden, legacy garden showcasing native Kansas plants, and a Children's Discovery Garden with interactive features.

It also includes a train garden with model railroads and picnic areas. With approximately 1,700 plant species, the site balances cultivated gardens and largely preserved natural landscapes, hosting educational programs and community events. The arboretum is maintained by community support and offers a peaceful setting for visitors to connect with the region’s natural heritage and horticultural diversity.​
