Pelgurand (also known as Stroomi Beach) is a popular, child‑friendly sandy beach in the northern part of Tallinn, Estonia, on the shores of Kopli Bay in the subdistrict of Pelguranna. It is one of the city’s two main beaches, alongside Pirita, and is especially known for its shallow, calm water, long shoreline and family‑oriented facilities such as playgrounds, an open‑air gym, ball‑game areas, mini‑electric cars and a spring‑board trampoline. The beach has changing cabins, lockers, showers, beach‑chair rental, barbecue spots and several cafés and ice‑cream kiosks, making it a lively summer destination for City residents and visitors who want a relaxed seaside day without leaving Tallinn. The area is easily reachable by bus and walking paths, and feels like a green, active urban‑beach park with a mix of sunbathing, picnics, sports and casual strolls along the Baltic coast.
